කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ වෛද්ය පීඨයේ මනෝ වෛද්ය අධ්යනාංශයේ ජ්යේෂඨ කථිකාචාර්ය, එසේම ශ්රී ලංකා ජාතික රෝහලේ මනෝ වෛද්ය විශේෂඥ මහේෂ් රාජසූරිය, ‘රතිය විදු ඇසින්: මානව ලිංගිකත්වයට විද්යාත්මක පිවිසුමක්’ නම් තම මංගල පොත සරසවි ප්රකාශකයින්ගේ ප්රකාශනයක් සේ එළි දැක්වීමට සැරසෙයි.
වෛද්ය මහේෂ් රාජසූරිය ශිල්ප ශාස්ත්ර ලබාදෙන ආචාර්යවරයෙකු සහ සායනික සේවය ලබා දෙන වෛද්යවරයෙකු පමණක් නොව දැයේ දියුණුවට අදාළ පර්යේෂණ ක්ෂේත්රයටද දායකයෙකු වෙයි. තම අදහස් හා දැනුම අන් අය හා බෙදා ගැනීමට ඔහු දේශන, වැඩමුළු, සාකච්ඡා, විද්යුත් හා මුද්රිත මාධ්ය ප්රකාශන, අන්තර්ජාලයේ බ්ලොග්කරණය වැනි ක්රම රාශියක් යොදා ගනියි. එහෙත් මුද්රණ ද්වාරයෙන් එළි දක්නා ඔහුගේ මංගල ප්රකාශනය මෙය වෙයි.
ලිංගිකත්වයට ආවේණිකවූ ගුප්ත අඳුරට මිණි පහනක් වෙමින් අපගේ රති දිවියේ තෘප්තිය වැඩි කරගන්නා සැටි ඉතා ප්රායෝගිකව සරළව රූප රාශියක් මගින් මෙතෙක් සිංහළ පොතකින් නොවූ පරිදි මෙම පොත අපට පහදා දෙයි. වෛද්ය මහේෂ් රාජසූරිය තම පොත තුලින් රතිය, ලිංගික ගැටළු, කන්යාභාවය, වැඩි විය පැමිණීම, රති රෝග හා ප්රතිකාර වැනි විවිධ කරුණු රාශියක් බුහුටි ලෙස ආමන්ත්රණය කරන්නේ පළමුව ඊට අදාළ න්යායික පසුබිම කාටත් තේරෙන සේ අප මනසේ චිත්රණය කිරීමෙන් පසුවයි. ඒ අනුව බැලූ කල මේ පොත අකුරු කියවිය හැකි වැඩිහිටි-තරුණ කාටත් සුදුසු වෙයි.

‘Rathiya Vidu Asin: Manava Lingikathvayata Vidyathmaka Pivisumak’(Human Sexuality: A Scientific Approach), a Sarasavi publication, is the title of the debut book penned by Dr. Mahesh Rajasuriya, Senior Lecturer, Department of Psychological Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo and Consultant Psychiatrist, National Hospital of Sri Lanka.
He is not only a teacher and a doctor, but a researcher, too. Dr. Mahesh Rajasuriya makes use of many media, including lectures, workshops, discussions, electronic/ print media, and internet and blogging, to exchange his ideas with others. However this is his very first print publication.
This book, written in graceful Sinhala, illustrates how to augment the sexual satisfaction in our lives in a very practical and a simple way, with an array of useful diagrams explaining the underlying theories. It addresses uncomfortable topics such as sexuality, problems in sex life, virginity, puberty, sexual disorders and sex therapy in a very comfortable way. Therefore this book is recommended for all literate young and old adults.
